Recital FAQs

WHEN DO STUDENTS LEARN THEIR RECITAL DANCES?

Students may begin learning recitals dances in January. Recital choreography taught in class is important for a good show. Students missing recital choreography may not be included in choreography missed.

WHEN DO STUDENTS rehearse for the recital?

Students will receive an altered June schedule which may be different from the students' normal class time for the week before and the week of the recital. Rehearsal occuring the week before the recital is at the studio. Rehearsal occuring the week of the recital takes place at the venue. During these two weeks, all dances are run, entrances and exits rehearsed, last minute choreography and staging worked out, and unanswered questions handled. Students will receive a detailed recital rehearsal schedule in the May and June newsletter.

HOW MANY people can i bring TO THE RECITAL?

Unclaimed awards become the property of Elite Dance at the start of the new dance year.
