COVID POLICY REGARDING PAYMENT OF FEES
The COVID pandemic has presented unique challenges for each family. We understand that each family's decisions to engage in, continue, or disengage from dance lessons are swayed by many factors. With this in mind, Elite Dance will continue dance classes as usual via ZOOM until the time we may resume in-studio classes. Since our financial overhead, including building rent and teacher's livelihood, has not changed, we are not able to offer large discounts or free tuition to those who are not experiencing genuine financial hardship. However, if you are experiencing a genuine financial hardship, please contact us directly to explore what options may be available to you for the remainder of the current dance year. Our goal is to assist our families to the very best of our financial ability.

do you have a policy manual or GUIDEBOOK?
No. All pertinent policies and procedures are available on this website. Any other important information will be made available as it becomes available via contact's email address on file, the bulletin boards in the studio, and the studio newsletters.
WHAT IF I'M UNSURE IF MY LITTLE DANCER WILL LIKE DANCE CLASS? SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR THE RECITAL AND INCUR COSTUME AND RECITAL FEES?
Every student who registers has the option to choose whether or not to participate in the recital in June. If you are unsure whether or not your little dancer will like classes, choose Not Doing Recital on the registration form and you will not incur costume and recital fee charges. Please note: If you choose to have your little dancer participate in the recital, you will be responsible for all recital and costume related fees. Please refer to the draft schedule for when they are due.
If you are interested in changing your recital participation status, please let the office know.
WHAT IF I'M LATE OR WILL BE ABSENT FROM CLASS?
Attendance is taken at the beginning of class. A student who is late to class may be marked absent. If you know in advance that you will be absent for a scheduled class, click on the 'Going to be Absent' link in the 'Contact Us' pull down menu above.
DO YOU OFFER MAKEUP CLASSES?
No. However, should you feel that your child needs a little extra attention, our teachers would be happy to speak with you about scheduling a private lesson for a fee.
DO YOU OFFER WALK IN RATES?
Yes. We offer walk in rates for $15 per student per class for students 5 years and older during the fall session. Summer Walk In rate is $20 per student per class for students 5 years and older. Students must sign a release waiver to take class.
WHAT IS THE POLICY FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Elite Dance reserves the right to cancel classes if St. Tammany Parish is under a flash flood or tornado watch or warning or other potentially dangerous weather. An email will be sent out to the contact information on file at least 45 minutes before the start of classes. There will be no refunds or makeup classes.
I'M INTERESTED IN GRADUATING FROM DANCE. Do you offer a graduation program?
Yes we do! Students must be at least a senior in high school, have 10 years of dance or more, and have assisted classes for 2 years or more prior to graduation. Beginning approximately January of the current dance year, eligible students attend a graduate class with the director, study dance syllabi, choreograph dance routines with specified criteria, and are tested on their knowledge. Graduating students are presented onstage during the recital with flowers. While not required, graduation instills a sense of completion in the dancer. Fees apply. Please see the office for details.
HOW DO I WITHDRAW FROM THE SCHOOL?
To withdraw from the school completely, you will need to complete an online Withdrawal form. A parent or guardian's signature must be present on this form to be considered valid. Date of withdrawal will be considered the date the withdrawal form is timestamped via email after submission. Click HERE to fill out the online withdrawal form.
