WHAT FEES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH DANCE CLASS?
Dance has two sessions: Summer Session (July thru August) and Fall Session (September thru June). Fees associated with the Fall Session are a registration fee, a yearly tuition fee broken into monthly payments, a costume fee for each type of dance performed in the year end recital, and a recital fee for the recital in June. There are also optional fees which include: a recital program book, a finale t-shirt for the last number in the show, seat vouchers / advanced sale tickets for seats to the recital, and individual and group recital program book picture fees. Fees associated with the Summer Session for dance class, intensives, or summer camps are a registration fee and summer tuition. All fees are collected via automatic debit or automatic draft, known as 'the draft'.
WHAT IS THE DRAFT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
All dance related fees are collected on the 1st of each month via automatic draft, known as 'the draft.' Once fees have been collected on the 1st of the month, the next month's fees are then placed on your personal account with us, known as your 'customer portal,' so that you may review them for accuracy. The draft takes place on the 1st of every month. If you wish to avoid the draft, you may pay by check or cash at the front office before the 1st of each month. WHAT IS THE COSTUME FEE AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
Costumes are for the end of the year performance in June. Costumes are ordered per class for each child participating in the year-end recital. If your little dancer is in a combo class (Ballet / Tap), then she will have two dance numbers with one costume per dance in the recital. The Costume Fee is broken up into 2 monthly payments, known as Costume Deposits, in accordance with the draft schedule. Students are measured in October for their costume(s). The first Costume Deposit is used to place a downpayment on costumes with the costume companies and is non refundable. The second costume deposit is used to pay the balance in November to ensure they will arrive in time for recital book pictures. Costume Deposits are allocated the moment they are drafted and are non refundable. Please note: Be Bop / Hip Hop may require an additional shoe purchase for recital not covered in the costume fee.
WHAT IS THE RECITAL?
The Recital, sometimes called the Revue, is a performance on stage at the end of the dance year. The recital is the time when your little dancer gets to show off what they’ve worked on all year. The recital is typically held on the third weekend in June and is preceeded by a rehearsal for the big day. Participation in the recital is optional. Students registering on a non recital basis will be charged according to the draft schedule from the time of registration through May.
WHAT IS THE RECITAL FEE AND WHAT DOES THAT COVER?
The Recital fee is used to produce the Dance Recital at the end of the dance year in June. The recital fee is used to pay for the venue, the production company, music, special effects, lighting, the stage, stage curtains, side screen video production work, recital webcast, and participation awards for all dancers participating in the recital. Due dates for the Recital fee and Recital related optional fees (such as finale tshirts, recital program books and advanced tickets / seat vouchers) are notated on the draft schedule. Recital fees are allocated the moment they are drafted and are non refundable.
WHAT IS due when i register?
If enrolling from May-August, Registration Fee and first month's tuition is due and will be automatically drafted at the time of registration from the payment form on file. DO I GET TICKETS TO THE RECITAL?
Yes! For your convenience, the optional advanced tickets / seat vouchers are drafted at the same time as the recital fee. Families with one student participating in the recital will receive 4 total ticket vouchers. Families with two or more students participating in the recital receive 6 total ticket vouchers. The option to purchase more tickets is also available when tickets go on sale. Ticket Seat Vouchers are good for admission to any show. However, once ticket seat vouchers have been redeemed through our automated online system, they are no longer valid. Remember, just like a movie theater ticket, recital seat ticket vouchers are good for admittance to one show of your choice. You may choose to use your tickets together or separate.
DO YOU OFFER INDIVIDUAL DANCE PICTURES?
Yes we do! Picture week takes place sometime in late April or very early May, based on the photographer's schedule. We offer an all inclusive Picture Package deal that includes One Individual Picture in the Recital Program Book, Dancer's inclusion in all class photos in the Recital Program Book, the Photographer's Sitting Fee, Photo Editing and Finishing, and a Digital Download Link of your dancer's Individual Pictures emailed directly to you to do with what you choose! The optional Picture Package fee is conveniently drafted on April 1st so that when you come in for dance pictures, the only thing you have to do is enjoy the SMILE you see on your little dancer's face.
WHAT IF I'M UNCERTAIN REGARDING CLASSES FOR WHICH I SHOULD REGISTER?
No problem! The easiest (and best) course of action is to register first and foremost by the age of the student regardless of years of dance or upcoming birthdays. During the first month, should we feel the student should be moved to another class we will contact you. However, if you are still uncertain in any way regarding classes, we'd love to assist you! WHAT IF I'M UNSURE IF MY LITTLE DANCER WILL LIKE DANCE CLASS? SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR THE RECITAL AND INCUR COSTUME AND RECITAL FEES?
Every student who registers has the option to choose whether or not to participate in the recital in June. If you are unsure whether or not your little dancer will like classes, choose Not Doing Recital on the registration form and you will not incur costume and recital fee charges. Please note: If you choose to have your little dancer participate in the recital, you will be responsible for all recital and costume related fees. Please refer to the draft schedule for when they are due.

How does the waitlist work?
During the course of registration, many of our classes become full. For this reason, we provide a waitlist on which you may put your little dancer! In order to place your dancer on a waitlist, you must go through the normal registration process. The only difference is that there is no charge to register as a waitlister. However, if a spot becomes available in the class, as a convenience to you, Elite Dance will notify you via email, put the waitlisted student into the class, and charge the payment form on file. At any time before class enrollment, should you wish to withdraw the student from the waitlist, please contact the offce.
